Ransom

Ransom

Ransom came together in the mid-eighties when bassist Michael Ciado met vocalist Lisa Faxon through an ad placed in a Los Angeles area music paper. They initially used the moniker First Aid, but later changed their name to Ransom. Ciado and Faxon recorded a 3 song demo, Once And For All, and placed their track “Sin Killer” on the California Metal 2 (1988) compilation prior to signing with Intense Records. Guitarist Tony Ortiz and drummer Joe Galletta joined the group for their self-titled debut, maintaining the same line up for their sophomore effort Soul Asylum, produced by Lanny Cordola.
