Preachas

Preachas

Preachas is the name of the hip hop/rap group formerly known as P.I.D. or Preachers in Disguise and is considered one of the founding fathers of the holy hiphop (HHH) scene in the United States. They made their debut nationally in 1988 with the album Here We Are on Graceland. The crew consisted of Barry Hogan also known as Barry G., Fred Lynch and DJ Selecta. Barry G. departed after three albums. 1991’s The Chosen Ones was Hogan’s last record with PID and also saw the introduction of Fred lynch's brother K-Mack The Knife to the group. P.I.D. changed their name into Preachas after four albums and released their last record Violent Playgrounds in 1993 which is considered one of the best HHH albums of all time.
